TAJ
We came back from holiday late Sunday to find the fridge not working, obviously as we had been away it was empty so nothing to go off - but we needed a new fridge ASAP. So I have quick look on the internet before work Monday morning and go down to Curry's Monday evening - for a £170 fridge they wanted £25 to deliver it and it wasn't in stock for us to take away. So I came home - Curry's online the same prices, but a £20 delivery option BUT on Dixon's the identical fridge was £150 and free delivery (£40 cheaper), with same 3 day delivery timescale. I know you get variations in prices but these two companies are owned by the same people, share a delivery vehicle and even the invoice has both shop brand names on it! For free disposal the Dixon's website even tells you to take the old one to Curry's for disposal! So after 5 days without a fridge it is now plugged in and working and they have taken away the old one for free when they delivered as it was sitting outside the back door. Mutrix Farmers
We had a similar experience with a TV, it was cheaper online than in store (can't remember if it was Currys or Comet) so we ordered it online and asked for it to be delivered to the shop as it was more convenient to pick it up there! Do they think we are all stupid or we will just buy the first one we see? Hope coming home to a broken fridge didn't spoil the holiday memories. Ain't Nobody Here
Just as well you shopped around . Imagine how you'd have felt if you hadn't (until after you'd bought the first one ).
