tidygirlsuk
I'm not really sure. But my pekins take ages, but i've never timed them.
Valkyrie
Is she getting broody? That's how my buff started.

Redwing
Unfortunately it looks like a prolapse not an egg - see post in the egg section
Scramble
My pekins can take a while but then that may be because they have tiny bums and lay quite good size eggs. hope everything is okay x

Valkyrie
Oh that's so sad - do you know what caused the problem? Sending hugs to you.
chick wiggle
Thanks Koojie, it was a prolapse, huge as well and beyond repair really. They dont know what caused it though, apparently its just one of those things and quite rare in a pure breed.
sparkysmum
So very sorry to read your sad news. Allisonx
Valkyrie
So sorry about that - it seems I was quite lucky with regard to my broody. Next time something happens like that with the girls I shall be looking up their bums to check instead of dismissing it as broodiness. A timely warning to us all not to get complacent.
