Is anyone else making any of the recipes from James Wong's book?

I made the Plantain Cream for a friend who has very sore skin after having had radiotherapy. It was a bit of a disaster and ended up as a lotion.....I think the recipe could be better worded

Today, Carl stuck his hand on a hidden stinging nettle and was really badly stung all over the inside of his wrist - it really swelled up and I thought we might have to resort to anti-histamines later.......

He used the Plantain Lotion and it worked within seconds!

There are no signs of it all now :D

Just thought you might like to know......

That sounds great - had meant to buy the book but completely forgot, so thanks for the reminder

I react very badly to stings and insect bites too and have to carry an epipen - unfortunately I have the memory span of a goldfish and only remembered this morning that I should have renewed my prescription last month

I'm going to have another go - I did watch the programme where he made that cream but I wasn't thinking........the recipe says to add 16 tbsp of the infusion you've made to the oil infusion........I just added the whole 16tbsp and then suddenly realised that the recipe says that you whisk and it should resemble salad dressing.........and I remembered that he added the liquid slowly  - like making mayonnaise! :D

It works well as a lotion and you keep it in the fridge so it is lovely and cooling as well as soothing.
