Good grief....gales and hail!

Recommended Posts

Goodness - that sounds awful - we have the gales since during the night last night and this morning snow on the ben rinnes in front of the house and temp of 3 degrees - brrr it climbed up a bit during the day but windy is not the word. Have a few broken branches in the garden with the larch trees.

Great utube video - what about the tickling ones too!! I think Arran is a beautiful island and we were there some years ago when my hubby was with a squad doing work on the trees at the castle - the arbor association give their time free to some project and that was what they did that year = it brought loads of them together and I saw the island - it was fab.

Enjoy your pringles and drinkies

Glad you're enjoying your Pringles and drinks! Wine and chocolate here.

OH is particularly unhappy as the pilot light has been blowing out all day and he had to have a cold bath this morning.

I'm about to have one myself (a hot one I hope), wish me luck!

Sorry to hear that - better put lead weights in your hems so you dont get blown away or do a marilyn Monroe and show your undies  I think i read somewhere royalty do that. Will keep fingers crossed for good weather. No doubt its coming south

Vile weather here too, Princess Daisy almost got blown away today and now she won't even put her head out the door. Doesn't bother old Sparks though, hens are wet & bedraggled under the platform that the eglu sits on. And they call this summer :? Enjoy your wedding Vicki, hope the weather cheers up for you all. Re: weddings

Ours was in early December (1995, not 2008), it showered a bit on the day, but snowed on honeymoon in Dorset!

I always think that any event requiring half the participants to wear a formal suit (or more commonly up here a huge woollen kilt, and boy those things are warm) and the other half a pale-coloured light silky dress, is bound to end up with a weather/clothing mismatch.
