I think I missed a bit about the voting........was there a panel fo proper judges and they voted after they'd watched the rehearsals?...........then what??

 

Did the board start with the votes awarded by the judges and then have the other votes added?

 

(I dozed off at the end of the singing and woke up after the first few countries had voted )

We watched it this morning and enjoyed it. I still wanted Iceland to win, such a lovely song. Finland was also a favourite.

 

I think Graham Norton will settle into the job nicely

I agree, I think Graham Norton did really well, I loved it when Turkey came on he said, you may notice on of the backing dancers didn't turn up and the mini-van driver had to step in

 

but aaargh, Alexander your song is too catchy!

The Romanian entry wasn't singing The real singer was stood at the back of the stage in the dark.

 

I looked for that too, after GN mentioned it. The woman in the shadows was singing harmonies and not the main song, as she wasn't singing the whole song, just bits and pieces. Maybe she was too ugly for the stage (remembering the China fiasco at the Olympics when the sweet little girl who sang, was miming and the actual singer was deemed not pretty enough!)
