Well I don't know about yours, but my girls are absolutely addicted to sweetcorn.

 

We've tried them on many foods such as spinach, lettuce, cabbage, carrots and pasta, but nothing had proved as worthy as the humble sweetcorn. When they see you get it out of the fridge, they sprint up to the back door, and run after you whenever you take it out to them. There a bit stupid though as they seem to go for anything yellow now!!!

 

 

So, after all of that, I've thought up a survey about your chickens and their eating habits:

Favourite Food: Mealworms, grapes, corn on the cob and loose sweetcorn, chopped up spaghetti, peas, pasta, rice, Christmas cake (not often, honestly...it was just to build them up when they were poorly!)

Favourite Brand: Marriages layers mash

Least Favourite Food: Carrots, strawberries sometimes, pink antibiotic tablets!

Least Favourite Brand: Not really turned their noses up at much!

Least favourite brand - those cheap pellets the human tried to feed us when it failed to order the proper Ex-Bat food in time

 

Cat food is also good and tastes much better when you've shoved the hungry cat off it first

Least Favourite Brand: again I'm not letting them decide (sorry does that make me evil? )

 

I am undecided weather or not to give them sweetcorn as I am allergic and was unsure about eating the eggs once they had eaten it!

We have found our girls are fussy and will only eat veg covered in yoghurt.

My little wierdos lurrrrve spaghetti, sweetcorn and mealworms but are absolutely TERRIFIED of........... brocolli ! Yes that evil chicken eating devil thing that is brocolli!

They also LURVE growers pellets, that my brother gave them. Had to throw the rest of the bag away as soon as I realised what they were, and that that was the reason why even Fred had stopped laying any eggs....
