I was so convinced that one of my ex batts was on her last legs, friend who is a chook expert has been round to look at her for me, apparently there is nothing at all wrong with her, moult and the thing that was really worrying me is an oil gland. I feel very silly now, I was just about preparing myself for the worst. At least I can celebrate now.

Definitely not laughing, just glad there was a happy ending

 

On different occasions both Joy and Daisy have gone to bed looking so ill I wasn't sure they'd still be around in the morning . Thankfully it was softies with them both and they soon perked up when it was all over but we don't half worry about our funny feathery friends!

It took me ages to discover what the oil gland was when i first found it, it doesn't seem to be mentioned that often.
