thanks for asking clootie he's fine and at the moment he's fast asleep in his crate :roll: but he's been a very good boy,unlike his sister tilly who already had to go to the vets at 6.00 in the morning and cost the owner*coughs* £180 :shock:

reminds me of a poem i wrote a while ago ;)

 

I, Spy

 

 

I hear MI5 are recruiting

 

To lure more women onboard

 

I could be the next Marta Hari

 

With ‘carte blanche’ to be untoward

 

 

 

I’d choose a sexy new spy name

 

Something exotic and licensed to thrill

 

Have several ‘top secret’ gadgets

 

And an emergency suicide pill

 

 

 

I’d be really good at surveillance

 

Cracking codes and configuring text

 

I’ve read all the books by Dan Brown

 

So, with ease, can predict what comes next

 

 

 

I’d have lots of clandestine meetings

 

With agents with strange sounding names

 

Go to exciting new places

 

and join in their 'Patriot Games'

 

 

 

I have all the requisite qualities

 

To live the life of a spy

 

If only the advert hadn't said

 

‘Dreamers need not apply’!

As early as the early '70's (shurely shome mishtake), we used to say "a nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat, say no more, say no more." Then of course Monty Python influence, nudge, nudge,wink wink etc.
