Does anybody else ever feel...... PART 2

Recommended Posts

My OH, Clootie? How did you know what he looked like? But you'll have to come in your raincoat - and don't forget the rubber wellies in case of lightning!2.gif

Lewis - if you haven't before, you must go swimming with dolphins.

Fantastic. We went to the Dolphin Research Centre - where Flipper was (and indeed his offspring/grandflippers still are). It's a non-profit organisation and they are also registered to rescue manatees in the Florida Keys (among others dotted around the coast line). Sadly later in that year Katrina gave it a bit of a battering, and at the moment the dolphins are in Bermuda (hmm, not been there - yet, fancy that I do) while they make it all ship-shape again. And I'm rubbish at snorkelling, having swallowed more seawater than I have had hot dinners. I have swum (?) with sharks - unintentionally - near Falmouth (porbeagles) and at Disney they had little hammerheads in the pool (I held my breath that time and just looked up every now and again) - that was good too.

Ooh they're up and running again. http://www.dolphins.org/ Whoo hoo! There you go ANH, something for your YS.

Still fancy Bermuda though

That could be me soon :D , well a bit of an overstatement  but I'm going on a Marine Mammal Medic Course - rather ridiculous as I live in one of the most land locked parts of the country, but apparently they still give you a chance to go + help if a whale/dolphin ever gets stranded
