Ever wish you had never started something?

Recommended Posts

I am so mad with myself. I was having a very lazy afternoon as my other half is away sailing and I was watching an old repeat of Morse on the TV. While watching I just happened to notice that the wires looked like a bunch of demented spaghetti under the TV and DVD recorder so I set to, while still watching Morse, to untangle and generally tidy them all up. Well they look lovely but now I have no signal into the TV, everything is connected properly and just occasionally when fiddling with the wires I get a signal but very distorted. I never saw the end of Morse so no idea Who Dunnit and also I will have not have any TV until himself gets back from sailing tomorrow.

I am mad with myself :x

Right got that off my chest, back to beating the TV.

I guess "worse things happen at sea" might not be quite apposite? ;)

My sister was sailing up and down The Mersey yesterday on her yacht, lovely weather for it :D

Get out in the garden with a good book and make the most of the weather!

We were watcing Morse once and I said to Ian "I'd love to go to Oxford!" (meaning for a visit) and he said "Well, you'll need more A levels then!":lol:

Have been trying to thing logically about this so am about to disconnect the new DVD recorder, plug in the old one of I can work out where bits go and see if it works then. If not I suppose I can deduce that it must be the white co-ax cable from the wall that is faulty or could it be my plugging in. Oh for a man about the house :( Yesterday when we had terrific thunder storms I had water pouring through the kitchen roof and the night before had to endure a two hour power cut.

It's funny when you have a power cut, it always seems to affect my brain, the first thing I thought when the power went off and I could not watch TV was that I would get on with the ironing!

Fred, that is so kind but I think the problem lies within the co-ax cable as it were, as I tried it on both the old and new digi boxes and both had no signal so I think the cable may have snapped inside if that sounds likely. I did ( getting instructions by phone from Captain Bligh) take the end off the co-ax and refitted it and it looked fine inside, at the junction bit, if you understand my non tech speak.

The plastering will be done by himself when he comes ashore!
