Jules.
I would like a black pair of these, so I can wear them for work & at home. I really like the Gizah ones. I'm a size 3, I understand they come up a little bit big, & wondered if I might squeeze into a child's size, like I can in Crocs? What do you think, & do you have any best places to buy them from? Sam Palmer
I'm a size 6 and wear a 6 in Birkenstocks. I've always got mine from QVC the shopping channel, especially when they've been the TSV, so they've been good value. They have a wide range in stock and start from a size 3. Hope this helps! Yolky
Just to say about the Gizeh style, I have a pair of them in size 6 (which is my shoe size and the same in birkis) and I just cannot wear them, I wore them once and I just found the toe post in this style to be so uncomfortable. I am going to have to put them for sale somewhere.
Jules.
I tried a pair of gizahs on yesterday is a s"Ooops, word censored!"y shop in Kirby Lonsdale- they were size 36 & too big The sales lady there was really good- she even agreed they were too big on me, instead of trying to make a sale, & I thanked her for not pressurising me into buying them. cathybc
I always go down a size in Birkenstocks - even managed to go down two sizes for a 'must have' pair in TK Maxx a couple of years ago.
Helly Welly
I got some from QVC last week. On the website was a link to a size guide so i measure my foot and came out as a size bigger so i got a 7! They do fit well though so my advice, measure your feet.
Guest
Sorry I was busy with other stuff when you posted. I was my normal size in my Birkenstocks. Then I lost 10 stone and my feet got a size smaller! With the exception of my most well worn pair, I've just tightened the straps and carried on wearing them. Mine are all (bar one pair) Gizeh and I got used to the toe post very quickly. In fact putting them back on in the summer kinda makes me feel properly at home. EXCEPT. My current work has a rather silly dress policy and shoes without heel straps are not allowed cos of the 'elf (elf and safety!). SO being a rebel without a clue I have bought some shoes which DON'T breach this policy because they DO have a heel strap. Hang on I'm just taking a picture of the two for comparison. Spot the dangerous Birkenstock.... OK now answer me 2 questions all 1. Does anyone have any idea why I didnt' get that promotion?? 2. How hard do you think it was to take that picture 3. Should I get a tattoo on my foot? (yes I know that was another question - guess what else is in the dress code??
ubereglu
That's a little bit of a ridiculous rule! I think that your heels are much more dangerous. When work places have closed toe shoe rules and they must have backs I can understand that-mostly happens in chemical/medical places, but never mind... mostin
I love, love love love looooooooooove birkenstocks. They are my not so secret addiction. I have 10 pairs of Gizeh in different colours , they are just soooooooo comfy. I can wear them all day at work without my feet aching. I usually wear a 5 or 6 / 38 or 39 depending on width, but in birkis I always wear a 37. They definitely fit on the big side. I have just ordered a new pair from the exquisite range, the all black ones with the black soles .

Alis girls
I have to admit I thought you were on about a breed of hen Are the Birkenstocks the high heel or low one? Pardon my ignorance. Into Fitflops myself - soooooooooooo cmfy
Jules.
They are the low heel
furryelephant
Hello, I always go for a smaller size in Birkis... I usually wear a 7/8 but wear a 6 in Birkis as I like my feet to fit nicely in the foot-shaped bit ) I'm not a fan of the toe posts as they are quite chunky between the toes, but my friend wears them all day and says you soon get used to them! chelsea
I have size 6 cornish pasty style feet but always keep to my true size in Birkenstocks. I have about 5 pairs (all different styles) and 2 pairs I have had for years. Always buy mine from QVC, if you watch some of their shows you can get some bargains and also exclusive styles & colours that are not available anywhere else.
