4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

I've had my call and the Omlet man will be with me between 8 and 11 tomorrow morning with my , and (together with loads of chicken "essentials").

 

Once we're all set up, I will be off to Thornes with my DD to select 2 or 3 other girls to join the fun.

 

Needless to say, I am very excited...

Well, Isabelle and I had tried to be patient, but that had lasted all of one nanosecond.

 

Thanks goodness that the Omlet van arrived at 8.30am!

 

The girls had graciously laid an egg in transit!

 

Once installation was completed and the omlet girls were settled, we headed off to Thornes. The selection wasn't great but we close a Goldline, a Speckledy and a White Star.

 

Our has installed herself as top hen and has had a go at the Speckledy, who seems to have accepted her lowly rank. As expected, the White Star is a flighty little madam and quite a handful.

 

My DD is absolutely besotted, although she didn't like the nastiness involved in establishing the pecking order.

 

Pictures? You want pictures. Oh, OK then...

Lovely, is the best colour, naturally, and speckledy hens look particularly good in it! All your hens look beautiful, yes choosing names is the next thing.
