now that Omlet are selling eglus AND quails. The quail package is £340 and the quails are £8 each apparently.

 

I have to say I am tempted to start saving now......

I don't think an Eglu is an ideal home for them though - you need to be able to access the whole of the run easily as they lay just anywhere, not in a nest. It's also best to have a double door system as they are great escape artists and will squeeze out of any hole.

I'll have to look at the package. I love my eglu enough I have 2 and would love something as easy to clean etc for my quail but I cannot see how it would work and since they hardly ever use the house it would be rather expensive

I thought it would be a good idea to have them in the eglu, but I put the male quail in the run and he went mad and started boinking to try and get out. I think the run would need some padding and it would be better
