ross81
The first one is out and the others seem to be following. Just a quick question it seems to be falling over on to its back and it looks like its sleeping as it was only 10mins since it hatched is this normal and should i just leave it alone? Sounds fine, the children at the farm always said they looked drunk It's just hatched out of a shell and been pushing hard for hours trying to get out, so is just tired

Lewis
Next question i read to take them out of the incy when they have fluffed up and i have also read to leave in incy for 24hrs whats best? I'd personally do when they're fluffy, thats what we always do and what I did with the quail. It also gives the others a chance to hatch and keeps the humidity up as you haven't opened the incubator. Ours hatched at 4pm and is staying in there until the morning, and will probably come out into the brooder in the morning Someone at school has been reading and "they aren't alloewd out for at last 24 hours" - we'll see if its in the brooder tomorrow morning
