It's me! I'm jinxed.

 

 

Shanks II declared his manhood to the world this morning.

 

I called the breeder and she took him back tonight but she only had babies and nothing suitable to go in with the other hens so she gave me a second girl to keep the replacement company.

 

Meet Shanks III

 

 

She (fingers crossed ) is a blue egg laying bantam.

 

And here is Rafa Henitas, the Vorwerk bantam.

 

 

And here they are enjoying a snuggle.

I know. Shank II was gorgeous but I have been saying to Hubby that it was only a matter of time before he crowed. The tail feathers were amazing.

Gorgeous, I hope my babies-to-be are as cuddly, all my big girls are very nosy but not at all cuddly!!

Some of my other babies are downright unfriendly. I'm determined to keep these two all fluffy and nice (although to be fair it is only the two light sussex hens that are aloof).
