abwsco
Anyone have one similar to this and if so do you like it and what's it like for cleaning? Thanks as ever Am not allowed cube yet as our sink is broken so I thought, blow it I want a nice new tap and worktops as well
Space Chick
I don't have one like that, but bought the coolest tap when I had my kitchen done. It has a light which changes colour as the water heats up, it is a real talking point in my kitchen http://www.coolest-gadgets.com/20060605/tap-lights-that-change-color-based-on-temperature/ The one in the picture is the bathroom one, although the kitchen one is very similar, just bigger Just thought I'd share.......... purple hen
Hi, ours is not quite like that, but has a pull out tap that can spray as well as just run,it is a bit like a shower head. I find it really useful and would hate to go back to an ordinary mixer tap. I thought it was expensive at the time but it was worth every penny. Next week starting 6.8.09 Lidl are selling a very similar looking tap to mine for £18.99 I'm tempted to buy one just in case mine ever goes wrong. chick wiggle
Cool looking tap Debsl, sorry Anne, I dont have a tap like that, but, like Debs just thought I would share my kitchen story. Our kitchen tap was dripping, my OH ignored it for so long, the worktop blew and last year we had a whole new kitchen fitted Serves OH right, if he had fixed the tap straight away......... So instead of a few pence for a new washer, it turned into thousands for a new kitchen I'm happy! in fact I'm sure I can hear the bathroom tap dripping..................... bluekarin
I don't have one but I always wondered what they'd be like to clean. The colour changing tap is very I'm quite old fashioned when it comes to taps and I like the simple shaped ones which are mixer and have lever handles. But I'd also love one of the taps that give you boiling hot ater so you have no need for a kettle.
Shirl
Mine is like Purple Hen's and I love the way you choose spray or normal. However ours had to be adapted because it wouldn't work with our water pressure being low even though it was designed for low pressure situations. I might pop into Lidl and get one of the taps as we might be moving. The tap we have now cost £300 so if I can save £280 I'd like to. Lesley
I don't have a tap like that but our shower hoses are made in the same way. They sometimes get black mould in between the spirals but that could be because we tend to use just one shower and the others are left for a while between use, if they are patted dry after use it is not so bad. I clean them with a toothbrush and home made tea tree spray. I would think in a kitchen that you wouldn't have that problem.
Seagazer
I used to have one like Purplehen's and loved it, so handy. But it eventually broke and OH didn't want one the same. I think taps like this are much better than normal ones as you can rinse around the sink so easily.
abwsco
Thanks everyone Debs, I love the gadeget on your tap and Sandie lol at a dripping tap ending up costing your DH a new kitchen. Bet he's learnt to fix things now -lol We are still undecided so help is needed please There's this one in brushed steel this one or this one to go on this sink
Chickvic
I like the third one - just because it has clean lines. I just have a normal mixer tap on mine so haven't tried the others. What benefits does the other tap have?
Space Chick
I like the last one too
chick wiggle
I'm sorry, I like them both That was one of the hardest decisions I had to make for the kitchen along with the cupboard handles. I'm just so indecisive..... or am I?
abwsco
My favourite is the clickable linky one in the middle but then again I keep changing my mind Chickvic, the ones with the twirly bits round them swivel and pull out Debs, I agree with you about handles and taps plus it doesn't help that the ones I like are usually the most expensive
abwsco
Well, after two days of faffing around and aksing on here and driving DH mad I've gone for the clickable linky ones. Now to decide on worktop
bluekarin
I like the chunky square taps as I think it would go with the slightly squared edge of the sink.
