susiepoos
Congratulations on the birth of your nephew - it's such an exciting time when a new baby arrives - enjoy every minute of it. I hope your sister gets her strength back soon. You mentioned about christening presents. If you go onto ebay and put in 'personalised keepsake pebbles' it brings you to a wonderful christening gift. I bought some for my friends daughters christening and everyone remarked about how different and beautful they were - I'd put a link in but I'm hopeless on the computer!!!! Mrs Webmuppet
Congratulations on the arrival of the little one. Hope your sis is feeling much better. Plenty of chocolate will help her iron count As someone who gives blood, it just reminds me why I go, just to help people like your sister when they get into life threatening situations. Aunty e
EEP! That sounds very very scary! How rotten for your sister - one of the things I've been dreading is being too fragile to hold the baby because of a c-section, and it must be awful for her to be stuck in hospital when I'm sure she just wants to get home and be a new family Hope she bounces back soon and gets sprung from the clink
PurpleTree
I shall have to start thinking about a unique Christening gift soon. I'm not buying any of that silver stuff that just gets shoved in a cupboard. ugh. Emma.x I've put a lot of 'silver stuff' in my parents attic as I don't know what else to do with it. Not to seem ungrateful but I wish people could've given something more useful or just money to go in their savings accounts. Oliver's godparents gave one of the best pressies, a tree from the Woodland Trust http://www.woodlandtrustshop.com/dedicate-a-tree?ac=supportus I've bought this for a few people since and it always seems to go down well. Seagazer
I was going to suggest a tree as well actually. Its the sort of thing I would love. I've got a collection of Beatrix Potter stuff and silver stuff that the kids don't really want. A lot of it is broken now as well unfortunately. I know when my FIL died they had a collection and bought some trees from the Woodland Trust, which was a lovely idea and better than lots of flowers. craftyhunnypie
She had a few stitches out today. I went & hoovered round for her & had a good squidge of Samuel. He is so good - it's like he knows his mummy isn't able to do much. She did push him in his pram a few metres around the farm - not far at all, as she gets shattered. She has a brilliant photo of him giving a ' V' sign! It's hilarious. I also did her washing for her. Poor daddy had to get the combining done today - the farm never stops.
