Egluntyne Posted November 26, 2006 Share Posted November 26, 2006 Mine lay at different times throughout the day, from 7am through till 3pmish. Major feat of ingenuity achieved this am. I startled Tikka in the nesting box first thing today, and she scarpered and laid her egg in the run. With my long handled serving spoon I picked it up through the side of the run, and passed it along until I could reach it. It took several passes before it was accessible. chocchick Posted November 26, 2006 Share Posted November 26, 2006 Chickens often lay in a 25 hour cycle (strange creatures) and lay at different times of the day, getting later and later, maybe stopping, then starting early the next time.
