Martin B
I've been up for an hour now, but untill about 10 minutes ago it was still quite dark. I had my breakfast and then went out to let the chooks out, but as I got to the garden door, two pairs of beady eyes and 2 beaks were looking back at me! I wondered how they got out, and was glad they are ok. However I was out last night and my brother had let them out and forgot to remind me to lock them up. I even went out there last night to see if there were any eggs, and the chooks were inside the eglu. I musn't have noticed the open run door, but this was at 9o'clock so it was pitch black! ...Just very shocked and very thankful at the moment. Egluntyne
It pulls you up with a jolt doesn't it? I had a vaguely similar experience a few weeks ago! Glad all is ok.
The Dogmother
So did I; we were eating, drinking and making merry at Lesley's when I remembered that I hadn't put the chooks in and it was pitch black Luckily Phil was heading back, and went to my place to put them away. You'll not do it again Martin
Paola
My worry is that one day I will forget to open the eglu door and the girls would be stuck inside To get over my paranoia I only push the door closed
Martin B
I'm sure I won't do it again. Very frightning!
