Daphne Posted September 8, 2009 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Thanks Olly - our honey has a distinct spicy sort of overtone, still very sweet obviously, but with something else (nice!) in there. Its quite pale and very transparent. My swarm's original owner has very kindly given me a couple of extra jars - he got 35lbs or so off each of his 2 supers. As his hives are only about 50ft away from mine I expect his honey is going to be quite similar. I feel a sort of circle of contentment - just finishing off apiguarding and then I'll probably give a feed. I have to clean off the super, and consider what kit to get next year (ie hive number 2!)
