Hi

In a couple of weeks im going to put bark chippings on the floor of my chicken coop so that it doesnt turn into a mud pit when the weather starts to cave in. This means that there wont be any dirt for the chooks to dust bathe in. Is there anything i could buy that they could bathe in instead??

A shallow tubtrug with compost and sand. That is what mine have and they love it.

Mine have a plastic underbed storage box bought from the supermarket.

I picked up some car tyres from the tip! filled them with compost and sand and my girls roll around in them in ecstasy!

Bought mine a wooden planter in the shape of a wheelbarrow, it was going cheap in argos and I thought it would look good, which it did until they tipped it over spilling the lovingly prepared contents, have had to shore it up with bricks, ruined the look but they do love it

Tryed giving my hens a tray with sand in but they just eat it!!!! does anyone have any ideas that they could pass on?

A tarpaulin would work over a triangle wouldn't it? There are some great ones available now, I think Tarpaflex is one such company.
