Hello from our cozy caravan!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. We are away in our caravan - just outside of Harlech in Wales & close to Llanbedr. It is absolutely chucking it down, visibility is very very poor...but we are as warm as toast in our caravan & we have our cute cat..Poppy with us - who has been an absolute darling! Good job I have my little Asus laptop with me so I can go on the net. Don't think we will be venturing far today, if at all. But it's nice to chill out after the horrendous times we have had lately.

I've got all my knitting with me & my crochet too, so hoping to do a few more granny squares. I can only do that when Poppy is asleep though as she runs off with my wool!

I hope everyone else is having a nice Bank holiday weekend.

Poppy has been asleep since mid day!!! Bless her, can't say I blame her in this weather though. We have just spent the day totally chilling out. Will venture out in the car tomorrow - probably to Corris craft centre & then on to Aberystwyth. A nice journey & the craft centre has a quilting & felting shop, plus a card & s"Ooops, word censored!"bboking shop. Aberystwyth, we will probably go & get a few bits of shopping in, some fuel & pop into Wetherspoons for some lunch. I'm not sure what will be open on a Bank Holiday? But we also like to look in estate agent windows round there - as we will be wanting to live around that way (between Aberystwyth & Cardigan).

I can't believe what a good kitten Poppy is - she is so adaptable to our mad ways of life. I can't see her sleeping downstairs though when we get home, as she loved it sleeping on the end of the bed last night!

We had some entertainment earlier when we watched a dippy couple take down their tent in the pouring rain - wearing very fetching his & hers clear pac a macs. The best bit however, was when they started cleaning the car with a margarine tub of water & tiny bits of kitchen roll..in the heavy rain & in slow motion....Why? We christened them the droids!

Who needs telly eh?

Spent rest of the day playing mahjong, online & looking at visiting alternative technology centre, reading & crocheting.

Afraid its pretty much given rain for the next few days. If you get to New Quay I can recommend The Hungry Trout for lunch its just up from the little garden overlooking the harbour and you can nearly always see dolphins in the bay.

I can let you know who the estate agents are down this way if you are considering moving down here.

He he probably - At least it's dry here at the moment! Yes would love to know some of the estate agent names. We always get some info on properties when we are around this way. We liked it around Lampeter , we will be wanting Aberystwyth to be our main shopping town & not too far a drive away. We also want the sea to be only about half an hours to an hours drive. It's always good for us to see what we could get for our budget. We will definitely be in the Ceredigion area. We will be able to have a welsh Omlet meet in a few years time!

Off out now to Corris first - when hubby gets a move on.
