coco
The chooks are on grass at the moment but I am thinking about putting them on either bark or wood chippings for the winter to stop the run becoming to muddy. I have some perspex panels which I am going to use to cover the run. Which would be better to use wood chippings or bark.
legend21
I am a big fan of Auboise, been using it for four months, it smells lovely when you put it down, it soaks up all the poo and then they clump together and easy to lift out of the run. Have only used this so can really tell you the benefits of bark. Jackie
Saronne
Chippings are good if you can get hold of them. Bark seems more readily available. Bark is reputed to harbour some moulds, but I've used it a lot and have had no problems whatsoever. Saronne x
Egluntyne
Thumbs up for Aubiose from me too. Have just cleared out the WIR and put new down (visitor tomorrow) and it looks and smells lovely.

Eland
Not sure if this is a silly question but what exactly is Aubiose? I use dustless wood shavings inside my Eglu and the run is just grass (what's left of it!). Is Aubiose something special? Would I get it from my local Horse Supply store?
