Woodcat
hey She is certainly a character and a very interesting addition to the current pop scene. She is somtimes a little to blatent for me but being an ex burlesque artist i guess that is kind of to be expected. Her choice of subject matter is for the most part quite deep. Much more so than most of the current stuff. When she sings acoustically she has a voice that would put alot of very famous names in pop to shame, it is stunning. Most of the current batch of singers can't really perform live at all but whether you liked it or not if you look at the audience in her Vma performance and they are totally captivated. If you look at her pre signing she is as wacky looking then as she is now so i don't think fame created the weird dress sense maybe enhanced it a bit but then the chances are that that is more becasue she can now do what she wants without facing critisim from the bosses. All in all i think she is definatly not to everyones taste but she is a talented musicion and a wellcome change from manufactured talent show winners Who have there own place but really for the most part don't know how to control crowds in the same way that the singers who make it through the club scene etc do. Valkyrie
After seeing her stagger up to recieve her award in the most daft red laced thing over her face - she couldn't see where she was going - I have to say when she removed daft red lace thing, she was quite pretty - even with all the make-up. Apparently she kept changing her outfits during the evening. DD thinks she's bonkers (put politely). Don't particularly enjoy her music, but it's OK.
