Is it just me, or does anyone else think Jason would be more likely to have hot red and yellow flames rather than pink and aqua/turquoise swirls? I noticed that too I also thought that pink and aqua were a bit too girly colours for Jason, I thought he would he would have hot red and yellow flames too . the Lurker Posted February 9, 2010 Share Posted February 9, 2010 Hey Lurker, just finished book 8 ... and yes what an ending .... moved swiftly on to book 9!! Mine hasn't arrived yet!!!!! I'm waiting on 5 different packages from both ebay and amazon (not all true blood related) and it is killing me that not 1 has arrived yet! I ordered the short-stories book at the same time as no. 9 so hopefully should have those soon aswell. As for continuity errors, what on earth happened with the beginning of the Hadley story?! When i first started that book i actually had to go back and re-read all the previous ones thinking i had completely missed a bit! and also, did anybody else notice how Debbie changed species?! I know I would be, but its not even worth buying them somewhere like Waterstones because of the price!! My Sookie 'Marlotte's' t shirt arrived today and it fits!! Yikes! I didn't think it would but it does!! Bit chilly for black shorts but I think its best for everyone that my legs are kept hidden Agree about Hadley. I always think I read too quickly anyway so thought when i'd got to that part of the story i'd missed a bit Also got Touch of Dead, while I was at it and apparently the Hadley explanation is in there (says somewhere way back on this thread). 17 days till Season 2! the Lurker Posted February 9, 2010 Share Posted February 9, 2010 Unbelievably frustrated, but rewatching season 1 is helping to ease the pain I want a merlotte's T, but i have friends here who watch true blood but aren't absolute fanatics (they do really like it though) and they might think it's just a little bit geeky I've already seen season 2 although i have to say, if you've read the books it is dissappointing. watch the series as if it is completely unrelated to the books (if at all possible) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kitchens Posted February 9, 2010 Share Posted February 9, 2010 I've seen half of season 2 on the internet but suddenly had a bout of paranoia that it might mess up the computer (it's a work one and I work from home but whats on it would take a Vampires life to re-load/input etc etc)!! So I bottled out and now I'm being patient sort of! Got the impression that they were very different straightway, which I don't mind. I think they are both great in their own way. It's good too that they were able to re-write some of the mistakes/long winded bits etc etc!! They've kind of enhanced it. Although the Tara's mum storyline was a bit of a padder out But then they added Jessica which was a good addition I thought. The Vampire Brat! A mere 40 minute drive from York! Sadly i was only 5 at the time so wouldn't have had much of a shot, but Elaine, you truly missed your chance there! what on earth could you have been doing 13 years ago that was more important than hunting him down?! It's the voice that does it for me, combined with book Eric in my head True Blood Eric makes me go weak at the knees in one particular episode in season 2 where he says "trust me" which on it's own wouldn't be particularly thrilling but it's the way he says it and the meaning behind him saying it. Oh yessssssssss, he says it at 1:12 in that clip Then he puts on a silly voice and tries to be normal. Don't watch it if you don't want to spoil the surprises in season 2.
