Nicola H
Oh no poor you..... things like this always seem to happen when you most need them not to............. My microwave oven blew up the other day and I was going to use it to cook the christmas puddings to save me having to steam them for 2 hours each. I ordered a new one on line it arrived today and guess what the door is broken..............HELP I have 10 people coming for Christmas dinner. The company have promised me a new one it is supposed to arrive Friday afternoon I have everything crossed. Egluntine just had a thought get the OH some Marigolds for Christmas he will be dying to try them out on all that lovely washing up............ theherd123
Oh what a nightmare however i may have a solution as suggested by Nigella, who i was half watching last night! She only used throw away roasting tins etc at Christmas to she doesnt have to bother spending hours scrubbing pots etc so this could be an option. Not the most environmentally friendly one but when you think of all the water you have to use and washing up liquid etc it might be worth it just so you can settle down with a large glass of something with your family & not have to be at the sink!!! Egluntyne
Nicola H says Egluntine just had a thought get the OH some Marigolds for Christmas he will be dying to try them out on all that lovely washing up............ I think I'll try to get him some Kim and Aggie style gloves. The downside of him washing up is that you need wellies and a shower cap as he sloshes water every where....and I mean everywhere! theherd123 says Oh what a nightmare however i may have a solution as suggested by Nigella, who i was half watching last night! She only used throw away roasting tins etc at Christmas to she doesnt have to bother spending hours scrubbing pots etc Very Happy so this could be an option. Consider it done!! Lesley
Probably still more environmentally friendly than the dishwasher anyway
Paola
Would it be cheaper to buy another dish washer rather then having the old one repaired? When my washing machine broke its bearing, the drum etc came as a complete unit so I could not replace the bearing on its own. We decided that it would be cheaper and easier to replace the machine with a new one Our tv went just before christmas a few years ago, followed then by the Dyson Have managed to kill three Dysons, will never have another
Egluntyne
Paola asks Would it be cheaper to buy another dish washer rather then having the old one repaired? No...not in this case as it is still under manufacturers warranty and I extended it to 5 years anyway.
Egluntyne
S*d it all...now my blooming washing machine has died. It has been absolutely "Ooops, word censored!" from the outset. We took out an extended warranty when We bought it 5 years ago, and it has been repaired 17 (that's SEVENTEEN) times in that period. Decided against renewing the warranty and said we'd replace it when it next died. So the spiteful bl**dy thing waited until today to conk out. A word to the wise: never buy anything from Indesit....their machines are very poor and their after service is abyssmal. Merry Christmas
Snowy
Oh no, poor you! Bloomin' machines!
Sheilaz
S*d it all...now my blooming washing machine has died. Oh, I really feel for you, Egluntine! I very nearly said after your 1st post about the dishwasher "how terrible, but at least it's not the washing machine!" My Dyson would have been great if LSH hadn't used it & damaged it. I'm sure it was sabotage to show what happens if he has to do the vacuuming. (Although he did it all today, we have had to buy separate machines, I hardly recognise downstairs! It'll do until next Christmas. But you've had ghastly bad luck! What a time to happen. Er, happy Christmas, Egluntine, and all hands to the deck! AnnieP
Oh, poor you! How Just wear the same clothes all holiday..... "Ooops, word censored!"ody will notice. Any nice neighbours gone away whose machine you could borrow? AND you will probably get a good bargain in the sales...... Chin up! (oh, and drink lots of alcohol.... makes everything seem better). Merry Christmas!
Lesley
Oh no! and I bet you'd save one last load to do today Just wear black clothes - and lots of tinsel - no-one will notice! Merry Christmas
