I have put a miniature conifer in my run and they haven't touched it and also box balls (but they're quite expensive )

Just remember that it is not just eating the top of the plant that will destroy it, but also having their roots disturbed by scratching and dustbathing!

 

Especially when the plants are new...

I was told the other day to take care with the sex of your conifer and that if they flower and get little ball things they are poisonous. I haven't seen those on my Leylandii they must be fellas.

i have a torbay palm in my run and they havent touched that. I also have some lemon balm and although they have had a very good nibble on it, its still holding on.
