The lkast 2 of the chicks I hatched earlier in the year are being rehomed on Sunday .

This does however leave me with an empty eglu, much research needs to be done, but what would you fill it with?

Defiantly 1-2 Pekins, 2 Polands, 1 silkie and 1 wyandotte.

I've got a lavender and a black Pekin and love them dearly - they're great birds!

 

Of course I'd like to try some others as well at a later point!

My Pekins are tremendous charaters and are very funny and chatty

 

I have two wyandotte bantams and they are bombproof but not as friendly, they are more like normal chooks though and you dont have to worry about fluffy legs and/or hairdos like you do with some other breeds

I also love pekins. They are reallu funny little hens.

 

You could try an Australorp miniature. My Australorp is overly friendly and such a lovely girl.
