Now that it's Winter I am getting about 9 or 10 eggs a day.

I sell a few at school and WI and that pays for their feed. I also keep the neighbours and Dad supplied with eggs.

 

Today I went out to collect the eggs and there were 19.

 

 

Especially when you consider that I have two broodies and five babies.

 

19 is an amazing amount in the Summer months...in Winter it's unheard of.

OMG at 19 I've had two eggs in three days and the DD's dancing teacher has been waiting for her eggs for over two weeks two as we're getting so few.

We are over-run with only 9 laying hens, the dog is eating between 4 and 6 eggs a day

We have 10 laying hens (2 babies not started yet), and have been getting 8-10 eggs a day

 

At the moment they are paying for their own feed and hemcore and still leaving me enough for our needs

Wow - 19 - I would be panicking at what to do with that many. Not that its a problem at the moment - I only had 1 yesterday, naughty girls.

Lucky you! I haven't had any eggs for at least a week. Whilst I'm glad my ex batts are regaining their strength and their feathers I do wish one of them would give me a little bonus sometime...

I thought I would be short of eggs as I only have two hybrids..the other ten laying are Purebreeds...but yesterday I came home to ten eggs
