Twilight New Moon trailers!

Recommended Posts

Against my inner prose s"Ooops, word censored!"'s judgement, I read the first three books the other week and loved loved loved them. Oh to be a teenager in love with a vampire again!

Then I raced out to get the first film, and it wasn't as romantic as the books were in my head, was very truncated to fit into the two hours and Bella struck me as being too plain and sulky and surly and frankly smackable to be loveable to such a gorgeous creature as Edward (I have sullied myself by admitting an almost crush on a 23 year old at my age). Is that just me? I thought the casting was great except for Bella. How did the film measure up to the books for anyone else?

The NM trailer looks much more exciting than Twilight the film was. Maybe the franchise is picking up pace?

Well i watched twilight first, last week in fact, didn't know there was a book saga :roll: So i quickly bought the books. I've read the first book with the characters faces from the film so it hasn't been an issue for me really. But i know what you mean. I'm on book three now. Can't put them down.

At the risk of making myself very unpopular, I thought the casting of Bella was perfect. If you consider the character of Bella from the books the only things which come across about her are:

1. She is a right misery guts.

2. She is vapid.

3. She has no hobbies, skills or interests other than Edward.

I feel the actress portrayed this very well. Even the endless snorting instead of dialogue seemed right! :D

I really, really cannot stomach these books. I suffered through until the last one and had to cast it aside when I got to the really-weird-and-wrong-and-out-of-place-bit-after-the-honeymoon-you-know-which-bit-I-mean.

:shock::wink::)

ps: haven't read the last one, but interweb stumbled on the name of The Baby and snorted in disgust.

Oh but you must. After about 6 months I was talked into finishing it and wasn't dissapointed, it was every bit as awful as I'd been promised, mutant super-babies, a gruesome labour, a cast of characters as long as my arm with no evident purpose and an ending to leave you shrugging.

I'm actually being rather mean, as long as people enjoy the books then good for them, but I find the anti-feminist message very sad. The writer must be a very strange person.

Nope!! I would like to say that it's perfectly healthy but I fear that it is slightly disturbing. In my defence, I still feel like a 24 yearold (until I look in the mirror!! :oops:

I have to say that I did enjoy the first three books - against my better judgement. I know exactly what you mean about this bit though!! I know the whole thing is nonsense but that is just utter and complete nonsense!

Dang dang library! I borrowed the first three from a friend (a grown up friend I might add!) and then dashed to the library for the fourth and was informed I was eighth (EIGHTH!!!) in the queue.

BAAAHHHH!!!! :twisted::lol:

I want to read it. I want more swooning nonsense! I want more brooding vampire and dancing Alice and rubbish growly Jacob and more... stuff. And more ridiculous plots involving babies and impossible couplings and stupid names and bits to which you allude and of which I am clueless about but eager to reach. :D

Dang library. :D

Eighth? That's impressive :) I believe you can download it from Amazon or similar for a nominal sum if you're desperate to absorb the book in all of it's delightful weirdness. Or download the audiobook from a site like audible.

Rather coincidentally (I hope OH doesn't read the forum :roll: ) he called me into the study to show me something. I was cooking dinner and was a bit grumpy, saying 'what do you want' and he had set the Twilight trailer up to show me :oops: What a lovely OH (just in case he is reading.....) :wink::D
