sorry,I just have to tell someone, my parents are coming home for christmas!! It will be 5 years since we spent a christmas together and its almost 2 years since i'v seen my mum as they live in spain! im SOOOOOO looking forward to it its our 1st xmas in our new home, the first time i'll have cooked a xmas dinner and im doing it for 7 people OMG!! but i dont care! im so happy!

We have just had a couple of lovely family get togethers

 

Cooking for 7 is fine, just plan ahead and prepare in advance and get others to set tables do dishes etc.

Oh thats so nice, we can tell how excited you are. Its lovely being able to spend time together. Thats the important bit to remember, especially if things go pear shaped in the kitchen

You will be fine cooking for seven. As someone already said, just make sure you plan in advance and make plenty of lists If you are doing a traditional Christmas meal, most can be prepared in advance. I expect your Mum will want to help too...

thanks everyone for all the lovely comments, im so giddy, im gonna cheat i think and prep all my veg xmas day morning, stick everything in water in bowls in the fridge so it stays fresh gotta buy industrial sized serving dishes though cos "Ooops, word censored!"ody has a small appetite haha. im a lover of lists so there will be lists of lists of things to do and stuff to buy and what have you.

You know M&S and others do really prepared prewashed veg - would save on one job

 

If you're not used to cooking for 7 then take a good look in M&S and waitrose and others to see where you can make it easier
