docsquid
Our elderly neighbour was neutral to negative about the chickens when they arrived. Today his gardener came and she was extremely positive about the chickens, who were FR in our garden when she was up the ladder so she could see them. She asked our neighbour to come out and meet the chickens. I picked up little Gwennie and she was so good! She didn't cluck or flap, and just sat in my arms looking really sweet and having her feathers stroked while our neighbour had a close look. I explained that they are quite young so not quite laying eggs yet. I also reassured him that we don't have a cockerel so there will be no early morning noise in the Summer. I reassured him their wings were clipped and they shouldn't be able to get over the fence, to which his response was "Oh, well, I'd better cut a hole in the fence so they can get through, then!". He also didn't bat an eyelid when I mentioned the possibility of a permanent base for the cube next to his fence! What a little star Gwennie was! She really won him over. I'm so proud of her! to Gwennie!

docsquid
I thought you were going to say she'd laid already, but even better than that she's winning hearts Sha x Well, Blodwyn now has a red face and Megan is crouching, but Gwennie still looks like a chick, albeit a large and brown one. Perhaps it is her sweet chick-like looks that won him over!

docsquid
Well done that gardener I say....and Gwennie, bless It is a huge relief to me, and I was so proud of the way Gwennie behaved herself. She behaved exactly how you'd want her to and she's only young. I'm really pleased the gardener is so positive too. Now just got to get that Cube base built!
