dippy bird
Well folks,it's my cough cough birthday today, and do you know how I've spent it? Cleaning my whole house getting ready for the surprise party I'm throwing for my DD who is turning 18. I will be spending most of tomorrow preparing food, and then most of Sunday cleaning up the mess that will be made tomorrow. The joys of parenthood eh?? Sunshine
Happy Birthday dippy bird!! I'm from Macclesfield too! I'm sure your daughter will appeciate her suprise party. A few of my friends had suprise parties and loved them. Next year it will be my brother 18th and my 21st within a week of each other so i think a massive party is called for! Valkyrie
OH and I loved Macclesfield - we went there thinking whatever can we do here, but the day went and we hadn't seen it all - spent hours in the silk mill and it's much better than the one further down the road here. Definitely somewhere to visit again sometime.

Valkyrie
What, someone came to Macclesfield and liked it??????? That must be a first!!! We were surprised too - it was the old fashioned parts that still remain in spots (and the friendliness of people) - most of the town is built up like everywhere else, but the countryside is still lovely. Ah, England. Still to discover Scotland and a fair amount of Wales. Still lots of surprises around to discover here. Hope you had a lovely day.
