So the recon pink eglu & run I happened to ring and order earlier in the week has now been here (unnoticed by OH) for 10 hrs

 

 

..so at what point is it 'oh that old thing - been here ages@

Yes I need to sort that - it also says the green one is empty - it has 11 * 6 week olds in it - hence the need for the pink one before they grow any bigger!

 

He has noticed it this morning - and said yes I know what you are saying we did need it.

Now why didn't I think of that! Of course what hasn't be questioned is do I need to have 17 chickens? That is where it all fell down, just too successful hatching!

I think Egluntyne's OH holds the record for not noticing new housing or chickens though.. I can't remember the time span, but I think it was about 3 weeks!

She has soo many I'd be surprised if you asked him to list the eglus/cubes and name all the chickens he would be lost for longer than 3 weeks

MY OH got asked if our chooks were named....he got three out of 20 but........he still thinks we have 18

 

I am loving the fallen leaves idea...I have a fair few of those in the garden.

 

If I borrow cookie monsters do you think OH would notice

DH knows the 3 originals by name, though has problems telling Buttercup from the Batties ....of the other big girls he can only name them by breed, I don't think he even knows that the Bufflings are Pansy and Yellow legs and the Bantams he can name Blossom & Jasmine as they are so different......the Pekins he has no idea....I could stick another 6 in the & I think he wouldn't notice for a fair while BTW I am NOT planning such an action, so don't start encouraging me .......if asked he spout a list of flowers and trees in the hopes he'd get at least some of them right
