Martin B
Well, they're not quite babies anymore.. They were born on the 3rd October and are waiting for new homes now Just thought I'd share a few pictures with you. They are both boys, one is a ruby eyed cinnicot and the other is an albino. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g198/marton2/104.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g198/marton2/105.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g198/marton2/112.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g198/marton2/114.jpg They're not the best pictures, couldn't get them to keep still! Lewis
Don't tempt me! You don't realise how close I was to PMing you the other day about them! I really want one (or two ) but don't know enough about them ... yet Its turned into us getting a couple of gerbils for Christmas but we're all in love with Pygmy hedgehogs - and gerbils are a bit cheaper
Martin B
You should definately get some, they aren't too hard to come by now, unlike when I first got them when it was a 50-100 mile journey to get one if you were lucky. They are more popular now following their media coverage. Hope you get one in the future. Martin

The Dogmother
They are gorgeous Martin - I will have to come to see them. *Errrmmm* would you mind resizing your photos; they're pushing off the page... Ta muchly
Ziggy
They're beautiful... I'd happily have more, but with all the other pets and the puppy, now is not the right time, so just the one will have to do... I know what you mean about taking pictures of them... Pepino is always so fidgety, everything ends up blurred even using the camera's sports mode, or when the pics are nice and sharp, he is looking the other way... They do make lovely pets... my daugther handles hers every day and takes care of him herself (I obviously check it gets done), and he has become very tame... As he lives in her bedroom, she gets to see him a lot in the evening, he runs in his wheel while she watches tv or reads...
Lydia
They are very cute. Hubby would kill me though if I added to the zoo. I'm assuming they don't smell like the ordinary hedgehogs? Last year, when we rescued Keith hedgehog and she lived in the house briefly, there was a decidedly niffy odour.
Ziggy
Pepino doesn't smell, as long as we clean up his wheel often, as he tends to 'eliminate on the go', so his wheel is covered in poo after a couple of days... I have bought my daughter a spare wheel, so all she needs to do is swap them every couple of days, put the dirty one in the garden and I hose it when feeding the rabbit anc chickens... The cage itself doesn't smell, and he doesn't smell either, I've handled him quite a few times and never noticed any smell.
Martin B
I know what you mean about 'eliminate on the go'. I haven't noticed a smell either, they are pretty clean actually and can be litter trained, I never bothered doing this but they always do their business in one particular corner. I must get a picture of Paddy our chocolate pinto to upload too. My girlfriend and I half own him and therefore he is at her house but I never take my camera! He is absolutely georgeous and the best pinto I have ever seen, shame he isn't a girl. He will make lovely babies none the less!
