Christmas Wall Hanging

Recommended Posts

The first quilt I've finished!

Edging is a bit wonky and I never want to work with Stripey borders again (they show up the wobbly edge too much) but I am pretty pleased to have actually finished a quilt. :)

It was also a good project to practice my quilting on. :)

I've quilted round the stars and angels wings in gold thread, sewn lots of beads & buttons on the stars, holly berries and kings but none of this shows up very well in the photos.

I got mine from Clare at Patchkits

http://www.patchkits.co.uk/acatalog/home.htm

The kit comes with everything you need apart from all the extra trimmings such as buttons & beads, which I was quite happy about as I enjoyed sourcing those bits myself.

If you already have wadding and backing you can buy the panel on its own for around £6, from

and I think they have co-ordinatig fabrics for the border.

Have Fun :D

PS: I have also seen some other lovely christmas panels, one is called "I believe in Santa" and the other is the "12 days of christmas" both by Nancy Halvorsen.

:D
