dippy bird
I have just seen a teenage boy taking photo's of my house! My hubby went out to him and asked him what he was doing. He said he was taking photo's of house alarms for a Geography project. Since when have house alarms had anything to do with Geography? Anyway, my husband asked him to stop and he left. I just thought it was a bit weird?
PurpleTree
That does seem a bit odd, don't think I'd want random people taking photos of my house. Make sure you lock all your doors and shut all your windows.
Lewis
Its possible but a bit wierd! Not very good of the school to ask them to go around and take pictures of peoples houses! We had to do a project in a local village, with pictures of the roads and shops, but no houses, and everyone local was told/asked about it
Egluntyne
Crikey. I'll be honest....I think I'd mention the matter to the police. It sounds very unlikely to me. Don't want to alarm you (no pun intended) but at this time of year, you can't be too careful.
docsquid
Yes, I would mention it to the Police as they may already have had burglaries associated with such photos in other areas, and you may be able to provide the best description of the person concerned. It may be nothing, it may be something - but it is worth checking.
chelsea
That is weird and I would definitely ring the police Taking photos of alarms would certainly freak me out! Do you live in an area with a lot of crime?
Cinnamon
Odd I had a bloke taking photos of my cottage a few years ago, & as we were looking for planning permission at the time,I thought it was down to that. Imagine my suprise when I found our house on a local postard of the village a few weeks later (heavily photoshopped to add snow, a horse & carriage & no TV ariel or car!) Redwing
Burglars look for houses without alarms I just dont see what phorographing an alarm would achieve It certainly seems odd though
dippy bird
mmmmm, will speak to my OH about it. The boy was very polite (although seemed a bit slow). Fortunately we have really good CCTV as we had a problem with our next door neighbour putting nails in our tyres!! So I guess if anything were to happen,we would have the boys face on camera. chickenNutter
Burglars look for houses without alarms I just dont see what phorographing an alarm would achieve It certainly seems odd though I'm with you Redwing, I don't think burglars photograph houses before they burgle them. Easiest thing to put your mind at rest is to ring the school/college and ask them if it is a piece of set work.
