bigmommasally
I'm planning on making lip balms for little table presents for christmas and I want to give each one a funny name. So for example I'm thinking of calling David's (my nephew) David's Dipstick or David's Dabber. I'm finding hard to come up with names on my own and don't want to discuss with OH or anyone else as it would ruin the surprise. So knowing how great you all are at coming up with clever answers I thought I'd ask for your input, please I don't mind a little double entendre but it may be best if you pm ones that aren't suitable for a family forum So the names I need help with are: Kim (male) Ruth Emma Mary Katie Sophie Ian Helen Julia Thanks
Ain't Nobody Here
This is tricky . The only thing I can think of is Kissable Kim . I'm sure clever Omleteers will come up with loads of better ones!
Olly
Emma's Embrocation (or Emma's Emollient?) Kissable Katie/Kim or Katie's Kissing Kreme (hate that spelling, but it brings the K in) Julia's Juicy Jollop (that was a word my mum would have used for medicine, I don't think it's rude!) bigmommasally
Ooo Lots of good ideas so far you clever Omleteers. I knew you'd come up trumps, keep then coming though. How do you make lip balm? sounds lovely and what do you put it in?Will get thinking I have ordered everything (Ingredients, containers, labels) from this site: http://www.gracefruit.com There is a section on the site that gives recipes for the lip balm. I haven't actually made it yet so am hoping it doesn't turn out to be an expensive mistake. But fingers crossed it all goes well and my family will have the most kissable lips in Essex come the New Year
Lavenders_Blue
Sorry, no further suggestions but... Julia's Juicy Jollop (that was a word my mum would have used for medicine, I don't think it's rude!) My mum uses this word too! I always remember her telling me to take a spoonful of 'cough jollop' when I was feeling under the weather as a little girl.
BarbaraJ
great names so far, sorry no good at that stuff but looked on the website and am intrigued as to how you measure the percentages of the ingredients?

bigmommasally
great names so far, sorry no good at that stuff but looked on the website and am intrigued as to how you measure the percentages of the ingredients? I e-mailed the site to ask about quantities and was advise to weigh everything even the liquids, rather than swop between grammes & mls, and then I think the percentages work out. So if I use 25grammes of beeswax I should use 35grammes of sweet almond oil etc. Once I've made it I'll post my results and weights etc in the crafty section of the forum. A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Sounds wicked! I love that site. I have an RSS feed of all their soapy lippy ingredients and I do so want to have a bash. I think it would feel like something between Delia and a nutty Professor's lab to make your own cosmetics. Brilliant! Emma-gin the softness Helen'd us yer lip balm
