Lewis
A drake is a male duck They're quieter which is why I think it might be a drake, but drakes have curly tails which (s)he doesn't Boys can get a bit agressive Get your own quigley
Scramble
 "Get your own quigley"...oh that is going in my signature or on my quotes page Here's hoping it's not a 'drake' ... will you keep it if it does turn out to be one? edit: I don't know why that makes me laugh so much and I think that if one of them turns out to be a drake it should be Geraldine...can become Gerald then Edited December 13, 2009 by Guest

Valkyrie
Hello peeps - managed to get in touch with Cloots - we were doing the same thing - ironing instead of on here. Oh well at least it's finished and now there's room for the tree. Not going to do it yet - Muz has had to go to mums and up the loft there. He's really happy about it - not. I'd just taken her home and she called to say there's a leak coming from the attic - her bedroom ceiling is all wet. So he's in a baaaad mood. Speaking of mums - Happy Birthday Lewis's mum. Er JJ - what is it with Quigley???? Hi Josh.
Scramble
Lewis was just talking to me about gerbils one evening...so I started looking up names...came up with baby naming websites though...they don't seem to have a 'Names for pet gerbils' site I was looking for unusual ones, so I just looked under Q and behold...Quigley Here's my tree you can just about make out the chicken on the top
Space Chick
Pretty lights New name for you JJ - Xavier, makes use of the letter X. Never name a child Aaron, that just proves you got bored on the first page
Scramble
True...but if I got bored on the first page my child would be called Aardvark

Valkyrie
Superdooper tree there. Nice and cosy it looks too. I rather like the idea of a chicken on the top - the poor angel (which in my books is a fairy whether she likes it or not) has the tree stuffed up her dress - OOH! But I'll have to wait till his lordship is home - he's in London tomorrow, so won't be done then either. This must be the latest I've ever put the tree up. Must do the cards too. Oh poo. Aha, the story of Quigley. Now did you know Tom Selleck was in Quigley Down Under. I looked it up - then found one of the characters was in Skippy - ahhhh! Lewis
Will try and get a picture of our tree I think we will keep him/her if its a drake ... they're quieter and as long as he's well behaved I don't see why not Really confuddled about wether to integrate them with the chooks in the new WIR (maybe get a Go in the WIR) or keep them separately in the
Valkyrie
Oh poor Lewis - decisions decisions decisions. It doesn't get easier - even more when you reach old fogey age! Muz not home yet - I can feel the heat from the steam coming from his ears. Now do I phone mum to see how he's doing or wait and give him a cuppa and risk hearing a few expletives (which he doesn't normally, but . . .) or maybe the sarcastic comments. See what I mean - decisions. I'm going back in my hidey hole. There, that's a good decision.
Lewis
I'd probably phone to be safe At the moment they're going in the WIR with the chickens, but I need to see what the chickens are like with them and think it all through properly
Valkyrie
Yep, phoned only for mum to ask me where the stopcock (different breed of chicken) was - er haven't a clue, but it might be in the "new house info" that you have, so he has only just found it. Insurance people called and mum and Muz are coming back here. Her ceiling apparently is dripping and will need redoing because it is that bad (luckily not on the bed), so the loss adjusters are coming in the morning to have an um and an ahhh. More decisions! Valkyrie
Morning all - apparently it's the insurance plumbers coming today to fix whatever is leaking. Anyhow as mum arrived through the door I said ooh that week went quick - takeaway woot woot! While I was at the door Madam Mim shot in here like Speedy Gonzales and took root, so unable to get back, so watched Die Hard 2 with mum instead. Lewis
Bonjour Back from school ... we did a Question Time stylee thing at lunch today about gender equality, my friend was meant to sort it all out (tables, lights + mics) before the event but is ill so I was running round trying to get it all done. We did that and it went quiet well, then had 2 minutes to clear the stage and set up the projector + lectern for assembly and it all refused to work The guest speaker just had to shout Tis working now though

Space Chick
Thats a good sign Lewis. Doubt I'll be on much tonight, I've had a hard day at work so I think I'll probably be in bed by Eastenders
Valkyrie
Only one - could have been worse - looking good then. Been watching our 4. Where it used to be Apache and Sioux, it now appears that the laying girls are more together than the ones who don't - that would be Apache and Squirt. Happily eating head to head. Still get the occasional check by Sioux, but usually all 4 fine - I think Tipsy is now at the bottom of the pecking order and Squirt has moved up one. I snoozed on the settee until my arm went dead - finding it hard to sleep, but then need to catch up. We are the only people in the close (apart from next door who are never together) that don't have outside lights. Murray says it's a waste of time and energy because he can't see them - rather have them indoors.
