Sign on in the run up to 4pm (BST not OMT) but don't browse too many posts to start with. The site can have LOTS of users on, just as long as it's not too busy sending stuff out.

 

Then once everyone is on and reading each others posts you'll probably bring it down

 

(Actually it'll just stop accepting connections and slow to a crawl - but it's unlikely to actually break.)

 

But if anyone wants to try and crash the pizza site afterwards I'd like to see how it gets on.

I don't actually want it to crash but I'd be interested to see how it gets on with a high load and how long it takes to clear the backlog of orders. On average we ship less than half a dozen pizzas a day, and they take quite a lot of power to produce.

Can one of you regulars/mods make sure this thread is rejuvenated nearer the time because I don't always get a chance to get on each day and if I'm not careful I'll forget the crucial date (I know I should have it stamped on my brain but I deal with lots of dates in my job and I can easily get confused)
