Cate in NZ
Is it a sign of children being back at school- more of us having a little free time . That said I wasn't one of the 22, I've been at work this morning
Mrs Frugal
That's the beauty of working on a computer Kate!
Mrs Frugal
Ah now that's a shame Dan. We need to break the 25 online at once record! We could have done with you !! A few of us met up in July but it would be great to have a BIG OMLET GET TOGETHER - we'll have to nag the guys at Omlet HQ, won't we! Mel (& Paul)
That would be a GREAT idea - just need to think of somewhere in the middle of all of us!
Lesley
Omlet HQ is in the middle of us all - my garden isn't large enough for a bigger get-together than we had in July!
Mel (& Paul)
Just been looking at the photo of that! Oxford is not too far for us (couple of hours or so) - but it does depend on this fuel crisis Had call from husband at 6am this morning (dont worry I was already up!) to say there were already queues at petrol stations
Mrs Frugal
Oxford's not far for us but it's a long way for those who are more northerly. We need to find a big park or something like that which is bang splat in the middle of the country so we can have a mega Eglu owners picnic or something like that! Burghley Park's big enough but I don't know if it's splat in the middle of the country enough!
Lesley
Birmingham is bang splat in the middle!
Mrs Frugal
Is it!! Well we need to find a nice venue in Birmingham then !
Lesley
Nice? Birmingham? hmmm......... (no offence to anyone in Birmingham!)
Louise
The NEC's quite big Only kidding. A get together would be great hopefully I can get to the next one too. In fact there are a few of us 'north of the borderers' now maybe we can sort a minibus or something Maybe the others could let me know if they are interested by PM failing that I have 2 seats in my car so I can always bring one other The first get together was such good fun we really need to try to have another BIGGER one
rachel19
My geography is terrible - how far away is Birmingham from South Coast?
Mel (& Paul)
About 6 inches in my atlas................ sorry, about 160 miles from Poole - about 3 hours drive?
AnnieJ
Can I join in? - my chicks arrive on Sept 23rd so probably won't be signing on at 4pm. Will try to log in later to check out the news and the record. Any predictions of numbers so far - it must be more than
Mrs Frugal
Course you can, Annie. The more the merrier and even if we don't break the record, it's going to be a bit of fun anyway!
Sheilaz
Doh....Of all the dates! I don't think I'll be near a computer that afternoon or evening after all I'll try and log on at 7, 8 & 9 am to get a few people in training...and hourly through the night for any stray birds? Cate in NZ
I'm here already Lesley, logged on early to be first in the cake queue Actually, a day off today, so just checking up on the forum before I tackle the housework. When it's the children and homework I call it delaying tactics... when it's me and the forum it's an essential bit of keeping up to date with things
Jason
Right that's the calendar set, out-of-office written and OH warned of my impending lateness tonight. Speak to you all later. I just hope work doesn't start checking my internet usage levels or I'll be in trouble. Speaking of which - http://www.ourchickens.com was mentioned in the Metro this morning for chicken webcam fun!
