laurmurf
hi all, mostin and i are on the hunt for a supply/supplier of cardboard 'pet' transport boxes for taking our chooks to shows. We hoped to get an order in for several boxes and share the delivery costs. Any ideas where we can get these? Ebay hasn't turned any up so far
Redwing
Flyte so Fancy sell them and there is a listing on Bid4Poultry most of the time but they are expensive You often get them at sales for £1 - £2 each, certainly Salisbury and Melton have them I dare say there is somewhere similar in the North - they do have the company/sale name across them though The boxes that packets of crisps some packaged in are ideal, I often get these from my local petrol station, if you push in the corners for ventilation (if you need instructions pm me) then they are very solid and easy to carry

tlck9
I use them collapsable plastic crates, with a mdf lid zip tied to the top, they are great as when not in use they can still be folded flat and stored.
Reikiranf
I used my cat carrier when I had to take Yum Yum to the vet last year, she didn't mind at all the only downside was a dog in the waiting room seemed to think his lunch was chicken in a basket
Mrs Webmuppet
We have a large pet carrier from Wilkinsons- doubles as the sick bay. http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/Beds+Carriers/Pet-Carrier-Large/invt/0094230?htxt=PsAGyAqy%2FDSGVBgOHPBfATKVETOKIWHcwqoICuDrG%2FxTcDPfxIrYzUvEu76RzzM6wutKTeo9AOCB%0AtDs76aYYKg%3D%3D
HENthusiastic
You could put a 'wanted' ad on freecycle for cat boxes. I did this a while ago and got a couple of cat boxes. I tried again recently, to get one for Mostin actually but didn't get any replies. Worth a try though if anybody is on freecycle. I can put on another wanted ad if you like?
