Can anybody tell me how to detach the furry lining?

 

OH got a pair for Christmas and we can't work out how to do it!

The poppers seem very stiff- is it just a matter of using brute force?

Worried about breaking them!

I just bunged mine in the machine with the liners attached, I was that worried about pulling top hard!

Good time to ask what size do I get? have been looking at them for a while and the recent spell of cold weather has made me want a pair.

 

I take a US size 9 pair/UK size 8 caymans. What size is best for mammoths? Are they a more snug fit due to the lining?

someone said on another post to get one size larger for any lined ones.

 

I am after the womens suede topped ones and I can't find any...

OH got his in the same size as his caymans and they fit okay (and that's with 2 pairs of socks on!) but I know that they suggest on the website that you may need the next size up in them...

I bought the same size as I normally take.

 

To get the furry bit out you just unhook off the plastic circle on the side of the croc - it is a little bit fiddly but after a while there is a bit more "give" and they come off easily.

 

I've had mine 4 years and practically live in them.

I have 2 pairs, both in my usual size

They can be a snug fit. To detach the liner don't try to pop open the plastic rivet, apparently turning the heel part inside out helps release the tension on the rivet so you can manoeuvre the eyelet over the rivet.

To remove

 

1. flip heel portion of liner to relieve pressure

2. place thumb firmly on top of the exterior surface of the rivet and carefully peel liner back away from rivet

3. repeat on other side

 

To replace

 

1 place liner on hand and tuck into the shoe ensuring the liner reaches the toe of the shoe.

2.thread exterior surface of the rivet through slot in liner on each side of shoe.

3. pull heel portion of the liner over the heel of the shoe.

4. Test to see if the liner stays in place after assembly

 

Amazingly for once I actually kept the instructions from something, I am usually so excited I throw away all the tags!

 

Machine wash cold, line dry and do not bleach!

I walked into the living room last night to pass on information, only to find him with croc in one hand and detached, broken popper in the other. :doh:Foolish boy!!!

 

At least he knows how to remove the remaining three now!
