dylan
Just found a lovely little chicken book. It's called 'Don't Count Your Chickens' by Simon Puttock and Ross Collins. It's about a little girl who gets 2 chickens and then wants 4 and then 8 and then 16..... sounds a bit familiar! Illustrations are great. Barkisland
Eggsellent, thanks. I've ordered it for my little God daughter. She loves my poultry themed pressies! (I hope ).
Space Chick
Eggsellent, thanks. I've ordered it for my little God daughter. She loves my poultry themed pressies! (I hope ). I had the same thought, my God daughter loves chicken things too, but I suspect thats my influence. Every time she sees anything chickeny she says "Look Auntie Deb, a chicken"... so she's encouraging me really
Redwing
Ruth-May has a new hobby: chickens. And she is completely hooked! She starts out with just two, but in no time at all, she has 16 chickens to cuddle and count, morning, noon and night. Ruth-May is deliriously happy Shouldnt this be in the non fiction section? Space Chick
Tasha - I read your comment this morning and it made me laugh hysterically for about 5 minutes So much so that I didn't have time to post my thanks, as I would have been late for work. However, now, in my lunchbreak, I would like to Thankyou for starting my day so brilliantly this morning It got me thinking though, about the sequel to this book, maybe she gets a larger run, and then a field, then starts talking about small holdings and alpacas and sheep and cows and pigs
Redwing
The sequel will be: 'Ruth May switches the family over to 'Basics' loo roll so that the hens can live in luxury'
