We're so excited, after the cold period & much discussion we have now decided to

take the plunge & secured our next addition..

 

Alpacas!!!

 

We won't have them for a couple of months whilst we sort other things out but we've made the leap.

Oh my goodness, thats sooooo exciting!!!!! You lucky lucky thing. i love alpacas, i went to see henthusiastics and they are absolutely gorgeous! the most beautiful animals ever!

How many are you getting? and will they be all boys or a mix of sexes?

 

 

There are quite a few alpaca'y articles in the magazines (Country Smallholder + Smallholder) this month - I read a couple on Tb and I think there were a few others

Thanks lwescott, yes your right, TB is a concern and something

we're very mindful of. Seems to be a little more prevalent in a few regions and the farm we're getting

then from and were we live in is free of TB but we're keeping

an ear to the ground for sure! As for how

many five in total 2 stud boys and 3 gelded boys.

We're really going we can show at least on stud later

this year. Really excited!

We have rotavated our new veg patch does that go

a little way to being frugal
