Carbon Monoxide Detector

Recommended Posts

We used to have one, I think it was Fire Angel, we bought it from Tesco. It was fine for a year or two then seemed to have a bit of a nervous breakdown, it was showing levels of carbon monoxide when there wasn't any - had the boiler serviced at the same time and the gas man tested it all. It even showed high levels when we put it on the bench outside.

We did read after that they can be affected by wet paint and dirty nappies - we were putting dirty nappies by the back door ready to go to the bin outside, we also redecorated the kitchen where the detector was.

We should really get another one, but they all seem very expensive :?
