OOPS I did it again

Recommended Posts

After buying 2 chooks last week I promised OH that was it 6 chooks was enough. Then I found a Cream Legbar for sale guaranteed green eggs, after the one I got 2yrs ago turned out to be a gold legbar (white eggs). So she is in the basket just waiting for darkness so she can be put in the cube with the others

Honest no more chooks!!

Then again OH has suggested that we extend the WIR when we knock the rotten shed down! How many chooks can you fit in a cube????? :):):):)

I often poke my head in the top of the (cube lilac) & find anything between 9 & 11 of my big girls in there, including 4 big fluffy orps  ...............before anyone gets upset about my bad chook mum attitude, they do have the choice of (cube orange) or (cube lilac) to sleep in & usually decide that squidged in together is the way forward  There are usually 1-3 in the nestbox but it's still cosy

Congratulations on the newbie, DH's can be total darlings when they want to can't they :D

I have 12 girls that sleep in my cube, but I would never have that many in a cube with the cube run. I have a large walk in run.

I often look in at night and there is still loads of space as they all huddle together. It will be interesting when I integrate my 2 new girls into the WIR, even though they will be able to choose the (cube green) or a (blue eglu) I wonder if they will all go to bed in the (cube green) with the others
