foreveryoung
hummmmmmm....... I noticed his eyes looking alittle cloudy so I took him to the vet to have them looked at, a blood and urinsample later and a fee of £230 his eyes are fine but there might be something else wrong with him as he flinched when the vet checked his tummy...... aarrrggghhh!! now Im sitting here waiting as the bloods are in but the vet couldnt see me when I brought the urine sample in. so it sounds like there is something wrong with him, but what Im yet to find out!! http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b202/edines33/general%20piccys/007.jpg

Snowy
It's been a timely reminder to me to get mine insured. I keep putting it off, but it can happen so quickly can't it. Have just done it on line so mine will be covered from midnight tonight i'd hate to be in the situation of not being able to do anything for them for lack of money (although the hefty excesses are bad enough aren't they? ) Poor Blue - I hope they get to the bottom of what's happening to him xx
foreveryoung
I just wish the insurence company would do it the way they should - you claim they pay not you pay then claim!!! I know either way you get your money back but it dont help the animal if there was a horrid problem to pay our for 1st!! but hes wagging his tale, eating and drinking normally so Im not to worried.... but I would if it came to it find the money from some owhere!! I have heard of lots of people who get paid by the insurance company and then they keep it and don't pay the vet when it is done the other way around. It would better if they paid the cheque directly to the vet but of course if there is a problem with the claim the vet doesn't get paid. Unfortunately people like you suffer because of a few dishonest people
Lesley
It's been a timely reminder to me to get mine insured. I keep putting it off, but it can happen so quickly can't it. Have just done it on line so mine will be covered from midnight tonight Most have a two week gap before the insurance kicks in - careful walks for the next two weeks Snowy! I couldn't decide who to go with when we had Tali and I let her free insurance run out so when I did make a decision - and it wasn't with the free insurance people - we had an anxious two weeks. foreveryoung
we're with tesco!! theyve been gd so far.... i know what you mean by ppl keeping the money, it should be paid to the vets!!
chelsea
We are with Pet Plan and in the last year of her life we spent nearly £4k on Bracken's treatment for operations and chemo/treatment etc. We didn't have to pay a penny (only the £95 excess) and Pet Plan paid the vet directly which is much better than us having to fork it out and wait for Pet Plan to send us the cheque weeks later. I would maybe query this with Tesco - on our claim form there is a section stating "pay the vet directly" - maybe Tesco could arrange the same thing? Hope Blue is better soon.
