I bought a set of these yesterday......

I shall make the chickeny cupcakes in them and will give them to 2 grandchildren and nephew and neice - they all have plenty of chocolate and I like to give them something different.

 

They are a bit squashed in the box so mine are sitting in the kitchen with apples in at the moment!

I saw them on Friday and was ever so tempted.

At the moment the apples aren't working! - silicone keeps its shape............but I don't want them to keep the squashed shape !

 

I'll give them a few days and then will contact Lakeland if they're not nice and round.

 

Do you think they will produce a round cake? - will the heat of the oven sort them out?

generally yes - sqashed moulds generally come back to shape very quickly with heat.

 

Sometimes they can look a little lopsided if they've been in storage until you shove your cake in the oven. Mine always come out straight.

Well, I'm still disappointed with them - they didn't produce a properly round cake

 

I made little chick toppers to go on them and slightly overfilled the cases so that the cake was domed. The cake rose straight up so I had to trim them a bit. I was pleased enough with them but I think the packaging could be a little bette - I shall email Lakeland.
