shoura
As far as I know this is the first softie since I've had my 4 girls (6 months) (unless thye have expertly disposed of any previous ones! ) Is this just coincidence or could the fact that they are on Flubenvet for the first time have anything to do with it? Or the stress of not getting their usual treats and greens?? And by the way, what do you do with your softies---I tried to tell myself that it was just a normal egg without a shell but I couldn't even bring myself to feed it to the dogs... so I left it on the compost heap----maybe a hedgehog will get it (or a rat more like...) chickyhazel
Shock can be a cause of softie eggs. I wouldn't have thought the flubenvet would cause it unless it made them stressed. Make sure you clear up all traces of the softie quickly because if the chickens eat it they could start eating their eggs when they lay them! Olly
I think it's probably just a coincidence. I would throw away any softies, without the shell they are not protected and could be contaminated, so I wouldn't try to use them.
